Skwala, Skwalla fishing

Today in the 70’s once again, Saturday, and not a cloud. That will probably spell a lot of traffic. Yesterday over 35 shuttles on the root.
Fishing was good considering it was bright and sunny. And wouldn’t you know it brought out the mayflies? Any fish consistently working on top were feeding on BWO’s. They would also eat the stonefly but the need to switch pattern came up several times. You could probably pick up more fish on a dropper, but there wasn’t really a need.
It is possible that the warm temps could bump the flows a little. But it seems like most of the solid snow pack is up higher. And nighttime lows in the 30’s should keep things frozen.
Word has it that painted rocks is releasing some water, and that may add a bit of color up high
but this may even help as the root is gin clear.
Have fun, and be safe.
