It’s a little early in June. And we could use some rain, but things are about perfect. Conditions are what we typically have in late June. Salmonflies are out and water clarity is good. Last friday lots of big bugs around Sunset on the Blackfoot and fish looking up. Bigger fish on Streamers. West Fork has the big bug the entire length. The lower Root, still a little high. But Dries in the afternoon and great nymphing all day.
The Clark Fork…Just shaped up, and fish haven’t seen flies like the the other river. Good Call!
We’re here. time is right. No 3 out of five stuff. It’s flat out good everywhere.
just check the wind conditions daily. Get on out. No Telling what mid-summer will bring.

Early season on the Blackfoot River.
