Full Day Guided Fly Fishing Trips Montana

Full-Day Guided Fly Fishing Trips

Depending on the time of the year and when the fishing is best, we will meet around 8:30am and end the day around 4:00pm.
Some outfitters may stay close to town, but our fly fishing guides will go where the fly fishing is the best.

Any given day we could have a half-hour drive to an hour and a half through either the Blackfoot or Bitterroot Valley or down through the Clark Fork Canyon.

Our strong ethics on catch and release ensures a future for Montana fly fishing experiences from generation to generation for a lifetime of memories.

Full day guide trips for 1-2 anglers include:
• Fly rods & Reel rentals, if needed
• Flies for the day
• Leaders
• Full lunch
• Non-alcoholic beverages
• Transportation to and from the river

Available on these rivers: Blackfoot River, Bitterroot River, Clark Fork River, Missouri River

The Fine Print, Links & Tips

*There is a $250 dollar per day/boat deposit due at time of booking for reservation of time slot. $100 Cancellation fee for returned deposits.

**Full trip rate will be charged to the payment method on account, if cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the scheduled trip.

***In the case of extreme emergency, we may be able to apply your deposit or full trip rate toward a future trip of the same type and length in the next season. Limitations apply.

Fly Rod & Reel:  5-6 weights at least. If you have a 4 weight, it can be fun for small dries, or a 7 or 8 weight that you can use for streamers or big dries. If you don’t have one, we provide rod & reel rentals, but please let us know.
Rain jacket:
No matter what. Bring it even if it’s a sunny day, because the weather can always change.
Wading boots (or sandals in summer).
Waders: We typically wet wade mid summer, but you will need them early and late in the season. You can always bring them. If you don’t have them, let us know.
Polarized Sunglasses: Almost the most important item.
Sunscreen and hat

This is a large part of your guide’s wage.

The guide is responsible for flies, gear, lunch, shuttle, and food for the day, so 20% covers these expenses.

Just like a waiter, these guys bring you the fish and work hard for you to do it.

If they go above and beyond, it’s appreciated if it gets noticed.
